In collaboration with its partners, ForestWave Navigation provides shipping management and commercial management of a new genre.
Shipping management means that we are responsible for all aspects of operating a vessel. Our duties include, among other things, monitoring the efficiency and effectiveness of the vessel, the technical management of the vessel, facility management, being responsible for a motivated crew of the vessel and troubleshooting.
Besides shipping management, together with our partners we are also responsible for the commercial management of vessels. This means that the organisation concludes cargo contracts and charter contracts with customers for the benefit of its own fleet and vessels of third parties.
ForestWave Navigation distinguishes itself from other shipping companies through its innovative approach to the shipping industry market, with “sustainability’ and “customer-orientedness“ as its spearheads.
ForestWave Navigation was founded in 2003 by Sam Gombra and Gerrit Diepeveen. The company developed two multipurpose vessels, which are currently used among others for serving the Scandinavian market. In 2006, Fred Diepeveen, Gerrit Diepeveen’s son, took over from his father. Both had been active within the shipping industry for many years prior to the formation of ForestWave Navigation. Using this experience, they work on structural improvement and innovation in the area of shipping management.
